Dhaka, Jan 6: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that all measures have been taken to prevent irregularities in the 12th National Parliament elections.

CEC said this in his address to the nation on Saturday (January 6) evening, hours before the election.

In his speech, CEC said that all measures have been taken to prevent irregularities in the elections.

"The election this time was not to the extent desired by the general public. Adequate training has been given to all regarding elections," he said.

He said that violence in elections is not acceptable, any political crisis can be resolved through dialogue.

Urging everyone to vote, Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal said that in case of irregularities in the election, voting in the particular centre or constituency will be stopped.

The CEC said fake votes, vote rigging, ballot rigging, money laundering and possible use of muscle power on behalf of a candidate or candidates will be strictly countered. The accused's candidature will be canceled immediately if evidence is found.

He urged the people to unite and resist all kinds of election irregularities and injustice.

Kazi Habibul Awal said that the election campaign ended with enthusiasm and enthusiasm in a festive atmosphere. Now just waiting for the polling to start.

He urged everyone to come to the polling station and vote in a joyful atmosphere.

Voting for the 12th parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Sunday, January 7). The Election Commission is trying its best to make the National Parliament elections free, fair and impartial.
