Covid-19 pandemic: Partial classes in educational institutions till March

Own representative, Dhaka, December 24: Although the new academic year strts from January, lessons will be given in educational institutions as before. It will remain in force till next March. This was stated by the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni.

The Education Minister said, "The new type of corona, Omicron, will be monitored till next March. If it is under control, normal class teaching will start after March. Until then, students will be taking classes step by step under the current rules. We will monitor the matter till March."

Dipu Moni said, "Next year, a new curriculum will be introduced as a piloting activity in grades one to six. Therefore, although it was decided to start this program in 100 schools across the country, it has been reduced to 60 schools. New curriculum will be taught in those institutions."

She said, "It is not possible to teach a new curriculum until all the students have been admitted, For this reason, their academic year will start from next February. All the socio-economic and geographical issues of Bangladesh have been included in the new curriculum."

The Education Minister also visited Matuail's Mausumi Press, Janata Press and Proma Press. She was accompanied by officials from various levels of the ministry, including officials from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board.
