Election Commission EC orders removal of three police stations' OCs in Faridpur
Dhaka, Dec 29: The Election Commission (EC) has directed the Ministry of Public Administration to remove the OCs of three police stations, including Kotwali Police Station OC Shahidul Islam, in Faridpur in a span of two weeks.
On Thursday, EC Deputy Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman sent the directive to the senior secretary of the ministry's public security department.
According to the letter, in order to conduct the 12th National Assembly elections in a free, fair and impartial manner, Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahidul Islam, Sadarpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mamun Al Rashid and Bhanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Jalil elsewhere. The Election Commission has decided to transfer and appoint them from other districts.
