Hilsa Exports Export period of hilsa to India increased
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 4: Following the application of six companies on the occasion of Durga Puja, the government has extended the period for their hilsa export to India till October 5 (Wednesday).
Recently, in a notification of the Ministry of Commerce, it is said that Mahima Enterprises, Tanisha Enterprises, Mashfi & Brothers, KB Enterprises, Seagold Export International, Janata Fish and Fish Bazar's hilsa export permit to India has been extended till October 5, keeping the previous conditions unchanged.
Hilsa export to India started on September 5 and the export was allowed till September 30. A total of 49 companies were allowed to export Hilsa by the Ministry of Commerce. Last Monday, the Ministry of Commerce approved 8 more companies to export hilsa and the export deadline was extended to October 5.
