First session of 12th National Parliament begins tomorrow

Dhaka, Jan 29: The first session of the 12th National Parliament is starting tomorrow (Tuesday, January 30). The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed some restrictions to maintain peace and order in the Parliament building and surrounding areas during the session.

The ban was issued by an order signed by DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman on Sunday (January 28).

According to the order, the carrying of all types of weapons, explosives, other harmful and harmful substances has been banned in the concerned area from 12:00 pm today (Monday, January 29). Besides, any kind of gatherings, processions, rallies and demonstrations have been banned.

The areas where this ban will remain in force are- From Mohakhali Crossing on Mymensingh Road to Banglamotor Crossing via Old Airport, From the western end of Banglamotor Link Road to Sark Foara on Hotel Sonargaon Road, from the eastern end of Panthpath to Green Road Junction to Farmgate, from Shyamoli Mor on Mirpur Road to Dhanmondi- Junction of Road No. 16 (Old-27), Rokeya Sarani Junction to Old 9th Division (Aircraft) Crossing to Vijay Sarani Tourist Crossing, East end of Indira Road to West end of Manik Mia Avenue, Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan Reserve Area and all roads within these boundaries And the alley.

The order also mentions that this order will remain in force until the end of the first session of the 12th National Parliament.
