Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 17 August 2023: HSC examination has started today, Thursday 17 August. On the first day, more than 10 lakh students participated in the Bengali First Paper exam in 8 General Education Boards. The exam was held from 10 am to 1 pm.

Meanwhile, heavy traffic jams were witnessed across the capital on the first day of HSC in the morning. As a result, candidates have to struggle to reach the examination center. A large number of students are seen entering the center after the scheduled time. It shows fear in them. Parents were also seen running around.

Even in the examination centers visited by the Education Minister himself, the candidates arrived late due to traffic jams. When the minister was briefing the journalists after visiting the capital's Tejgaon College Centre, many candidates entered the center hand in hand in front of him.

After visiting the center, Dr. Dipu Moni was questioned about the schedule and traffic congestion in the briefing.

In response, the education minister said, "This is a big problem in Dhaka city. Last time we made a difference in the schedule of SSC exams. The exam at 10 am - it becomes office time and exam time. Because of this, students are suffering from traffic congestion. He said, I have talked about this a lot. Discussed. But when the exam is in morning-afternoon routine, you can't move the time forward or backward. Exam from 10 am."

Again in the afternoon shift from 2 pm. If the exam is in the afternoon, it should start at 10 o'clock in the morning. There is no room for delay.

Dipu Moni also said, "Still, we are thinking about this (schedule change). In the future, whether SSC and HSC exams can be conducted simultaneously or not. In that case, we can fix the exam schedule by skipping office hours."

HSC examination under 8 education boards of the country has started today. The exam was held from 10 am to 1 pm. More than 10 lakh candidates have participated in this exam.

The HSC examination was supposed to start simultaneously in 11 education boards of the country from Thursday. 13 lakh 59 thousand 342 students filled the form to participate in it. However, nearly 350,000 students of the three boards whose exams were postponed due to floods will have to wait for another 10 days to sit for the HSC. Chittagong, madrasa and technical board exams will start from August 27. Among the general boards, Chittagong board has 1 lakh 1 thousand 353 candidates and 151 centers.
