EU Parliament Election: EU to send observation team
Dhaka, Oct 20: The European Union (EU) has informed the Election Commission that it will officially send observers to Bangladesh for the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections. Senior officials of the Election Commission (EC) confirmed the matter on Thursday evening.
According to a letter from the EU, the observers of the European Union will be stationed to observe the 12th National Parliament election of Bangladesh from November 21 to January 21. At this time, their four-member delegation will observe the polls. There will be two members of the technical team.
In this regard, EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath said that the European Union will send an observation team of four to five members. They will stay in the country in accordance with the election schedule.
