Fasting Siam plays a role in establishing mutual harmony between rich and poor: Prime Minister
Dhaka, March 24: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, the holy month of Ramadan is the month of fasting and moderation. In this holy month, through self-restraint, the soul is purified and there is a wonderful opportunity to obtain the pleasure, closeness and forgiveness of the Almighty Allah. Siam (fasting) plays a unique role in establishing mutual sympathy, harmony and brotherhood between the rich and the poor.
The Prime Minister said this in a message given on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan on Friday, March 24. On this occasion, she congratulated the countrymen and the world Muslim Ummah.
Sheikh Hasina, inspired by the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan, urged to protect the sanctity of Ramadan by avoiding all indulgences, violence and hatred, exuberance and conflict and showing moderation, patience and moderation in all levels of life.
She shunned all kinds of superstitions and emphasized on establishing the spirit of Islam, the religion of peace, at all levels of individual, social and national life and observing fasting as well as reciting the Qur'an and being busy in worship.
The Prime Minister said, may Almighty Allah grant us the Tawfiq to implement the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan in our life. May the month of Ramadan bring peace in our lives, may the lives of all be prosperous. In the holy month of Ramadan, I pray to Almighty Allah Rabbul Alamin for the future progress, peace, prosperity and welfare of the beloved motherland Bangladesh and the Muslim world. May Almighty Allah protect us all.
