Dhaka, December 10: DMP Joint Commissioner Biplab Kumar Sarkar said that Jamaat and BNP are jointly planning attacks and sabotage. On Friday (December 9) around 2 pm after Friday prayers, police chased some worshipers shouting slogans in the alley of Paltan Samaj Kalyan Masjid.

Naya Paltan clash: BNP leaders Fakhrul and Abbas sent to jail

Dhaka, December 10: The DB arrested BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party's Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas in the case of clashes between BNP leader-activists and police in Naya Paltan area of the capital on Thursday night. When they were produced in the court on Friday, the court rejected the bail application and sent them to jail. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim gave this order after the hearing.

Naya Paltan clash: 432 BNP leader-activists including Rizvi in jail, 14 others on 2-day remand

Dhaka, December 9: The court granted two-day remand to 14 people in the case of the clash between BNP activists and police in front of the BNP central office in Naya Paltan. Meanwhile, the same court has ordered to send 434 activists, including Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Dhaka Metropolitan North convener Aman Ullah Aman, to jail. Later, Aman Ullah Aman and two others were released on bail.

Dhaka, December 9: At least 47 policemen were injured in the clash with BNP leader-activists in Dhaka's Naya Paltan.

Dhaka, December 9: The police closed the road after a clash between BNP leaders and activists in Nayapaltan of the capital. Police closed both sides of the road from Nightingale Junction to Fakirapool with barricades from Thursday morning.
