Dhaka, Dec 27: Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has arrested bomb expert Mukit alias Boma Maulana, the suspected mastermind behind the cocktail attack on the premises of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court. Lalbagh Division of DB arrested him from Chawkbazar in Old Dhaka.

Dhaka, July 27: BNP has postponed the date of July 27 general meeting in Dhaka, keeping in view the resignation of the current government and the dissolution of parliament. The party has decided to postpone Thursday's mass meeting programme till tomorrow Friday (July 28) in Nayapaltan.

BNP can hold rally at Ijtema Ground or Purbachal if they want: DMP

Dhaka, December 7: BNP can hold its rally at Tongi World Ijtema ground or at Purbachal International Trade Fair ground on December 10 if they want. In that case, there will be no objection from the DMP.

Dhaka, December 6: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq said BNP will not get permission to hold a rally on the streets in the capital. He also said that BNP has not yet proposed the name of any place other than Suhrawardy Udyan for the rally.
