Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 22 March 2024: The rate of Sadaqatul Fitr in the year 1445 Hijri has been fixed at a maximum of Tk 2,970 and a minimum of Tk 115 per person. The decision was taken at the National Fitra Determination Committee meeting held at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room at 11 am on Thursday. JU sexual harassment case: DB to take action against two teachers after investigation
Dhaka, March 21: Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Head of Intelligence Branch (DB) Harun Or Rashid said that the complaint of sexual harassment made by a female student of Jagannath University (JU) against Department of Film and Television's lecturer Jagannath University Abu Shahed Imon and the department's chairman Junaid Ahmed Halim is being investigated and and action will be taken after probe.
Pension will not be available under previous rules, effective from July 1
Dhaka, March 21: Joining the public pension scheme is being made mandatory for those joining the government service on or after July 1. All of them will be included in the 'Pratyay' scheme. FDC section of the elevated expressway opened, heavy traffic on the first day
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 21 March 2024: Traffic has started through exit ramp (descent road) adjacent to FDC gate of Dhaka Elevated Expressway. The stretch was opened for public traffic after 2pm on Wednesday (March 20). After opening, there was no traffic jam, but after 5 pm, the traffic pressure increased there. Around 5.30 pm, the traffic from Hatirjheel-FDC junction backed up to the elevated expressway. As a result, the Dhaka Elevated Expressway was conquered on the first day.
