Afghanistan: Prominent Taliban leader Mawlavi Abdul Hanan killed in Ghazni airstrike

Kabul: The Afghanistan government on Sunday confirmed that a prominent Taliban leader was killed during an airstrike conducted in the country's south-eastern Ghazni province, media reports said.
According to a statement released by Ministry of Defense, the airstrike in Khogyani district killed Mawlavi Abdul Hanan, one of the most famous leaders of Taliban, Khaama Press reported.
The statement further added that Mawlavi Hanan was also a member of the military commission of Taliban in Ghazni, reported the news agency.
The Taliban did not comment on the issue.
