Burdwan blast: NIA announces cash rewards for arrest of accused

Kolkata, Oct 31: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday announced cash rewards for the arrest of 12 absconders who are wanted in connection with the Burdwan blast in West Bengal.

NIA has announced a cash reward of 10 lakh for five people.


It also announced case reward of Rs 5 lakh each for three accused and Rs 3 lakh for the other four.


In a statement, NIA said: " The NIA has declared cash rewards for information leading to arrest of absconding accused persons (twelve in number) involved in the Burdwan blast case. Co-operation of general public is solicited in apprehending them. Anyone can inform either on phone or on e-mail about their location and movement. It is stated that identity of the informer (s) shall be kept secret."


The blast in West Bengal\'s Burdwan district took place on Oct 2 in which two Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) militants were killed while another one was injured.
